7 Ways to Relax and Unwind

Do you really know how to unwind? What does that mean? I know you are probably saying to yourself right now ...... NO I don't know how!
So many of us feel out of control, and this can cause us great stress. Especially on our bodies.
Here are some great tips on how take control, even if its just for an hour .......
#1 - Breath: Your breath is very important. Use some breathing techniques to breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose, slowly ...... relax
#2 - Release your jaw muscles: This may sound a bit silly, but you are probably "clenching" your teeth together when you are stressed. Release your jaw muscles by slightly opening your mouth, teeth separated and tongue relaxed. Remember not to have your tongue touching the roof of your mouth.
#3 - Music: If you like music, try listening to your favorite music for awhile. Go somewhere quiet, so you won't be disturbed and just enjoy!
#4 - Meditate: Find some good meditation music (Nature sounds are the best), sit down or lay down and close your eyes. Thoughts will come to you and that's okay, let the thoughts come, as soon as they do release and just listen to the music.
#5 - Journal: Write down all the "good" things that happened to you today! Then write down how you are going to make tomorrow even better!
#6 - Be in Nature: Being outdoors is a great way to relax. Do something fun! Even if its just taking a 5 minute walk.
#7 - Find what works for you: What ever makes you happy, if its laying down watching your favorite movie then just do it! What works for one person may not work for you!
Hopefully you found one, or more of these tips useful! I know that its not easy to relax and relieve our stress and tension from the day. However it is very important to take care of our minds and our bodies. After all ..... an unhealthy mind will make your body sick.
